ABOUT US // who we are
Northeastern Financial Consultants, Inc. (NEFCI) has been providing comprehensive wealth management services to clients nationwide since 1982. We are a fee-only financial planning firm headquartered in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania with a satellite office located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
Our approach to wealth management delves into more than just the financial aspect of a client’s life – as we meld physical, familial, charitable considerations (and more) to construct a full in-depth fiscal life strategy. The dynamic nature of NEFCI's planning and ongoing monitoring gives our clients confidence that their financial future is secure.
Our process is built on mutual responsibility shared by the client and the advisor. The nature of our work is inherently sensitive, you can expect an advisor who works passionately, investigates diligently and communicates frankly. We ask our clients to strive for the same. Our most successful relationships are highlighted by clients that are actively engaged and accountable to the process.
Clients hail from all different lifestyles and come to us with a wide range of investable assets. We live in a dynamic world, something NEFCI values and embraces, traveling to you when a face-to-face meeting is prudent, otherwise tapping the technology of today for ongoing communication.
EXECUTIVE PROFILE // bio
After earning his undergraduate degree from Villanova University, Kristofer pursued a Master of Business Administration from the Fox School of Business and Juris Doctor from the James E. Beasley School of Law at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
His early professional experience as an attorney handling trusts and estates, advising start-ups, monitoring corporate issues from cash flow to compliance and managing tax matters formed the sound foundation that inspired him to dedicate his career exclusively to financial planning in 2003.
He joined Northeastern Financial Consultants, Inc. as the firm's senior financial advisor in 2007, and acquired ownership of the business in 2017. As president and CEO, Kris continues to personally manage all client portfolios and provide planning services as he has for over a decade — caring for each of his clients as he would a loved one.
Kris understands that the key to successful financial planning is crafting an objective strategy that is in a client's best interest, while being sensitive to subjective factors that make each scenario unique. Clients consistently compliment his ability to discuss complex financial topics in a straightforward manner.
Kristofer T. Harrison, JD, CFP®
President and CEO
An indelible mark of growing up as a firefighter, EMT and police officer, Kris brings a sleeves-rolled-up attitude to every task at hand - and quite literally, his days of cuff links and neckties are long retired. An Eagle Scout originally from Berwick, Pennsylvania and self-proclaimed jack-of-all-trades, Kris most enjoys spending his free time coaching lacrosse, playing tennis or exploring Charleston's waterways by boat with his wife and three children. He rarely turns on the TV, but when he does you can be sure it involves ice hockey or binge watching an old series.
